The TODAY function in Excel is used to display the current date without including the time component. It returns the current date based on your computer's system clock.
=TODAY ()
Select The Cell, Which You Want to Apply The Function And Write TODAY Function =TODAY In Selected Cell.
We need to put the Brackets After Writing the TODAY Function as like Below picture showed.
After Entering the Function, we need hit The Enter Key, The Excel returns the current Date and it is automatically updating the date when the worksheet changed or opened.
If You want to customize the date format, You Are Able to customize. First, select the cell which you want to customize date. then, you need to click home ribbon, after that Click more number format. Then, select the format or customize the format as we want. indeed, I need first year second month third date so I can type (YYYY-MMM-DD) then hit the Enter key button. Similar to the NOW function, the TODAY function is dynamic. It updates every time the worksheet recalculates or when any change is made in the worksheet, ensuring that it always reflects the current date.
